Before you pack your bags and book your flight and hotel for your Disney Vacation, the following are some money saving tips you could consider. These tips could help you slash the price of your Disney World vacation without having to sacrifice on family enjoyment.

1. Consider off-season travel – the summer season is the most expensive season of the year in Disney World while winters could help you save money on almost everything. Aside from discounts on prices, the lines on popular rides will not be as long as the peak season.

2. Grab discounts – Most Walt Disney Resorts offer discounts if you book in advance with at least three nights of accommodation. Look out for hotels that will offer an extra night free if you consider staying for at least three nights.

3. Consider packages – do not get into trouble with your reservations by booking separately. Avoid headaches by booking your flight, hotel, car and theme park ticket reservations together. Most travel websites offer this type of package to attract more families, especially parents who just wanted to have fun with their kids during their Disney World vacation.

4. Book on a Disney Hotel – a few years ago, a good way to save on Disney World accommodation is to get a hotel out off-site (out of the park). But you can now post considerable savings if you book on an on-site hotel because of the discounts you’ll have on theme park tickets.

5. Bring snacks – snacks within theme parks may look like a great deal considering the comfort you’ll experience but they are very expensive compared to grocery pricing. Outside snacks are allowed inside Disney World so an extra effort could mean a lot of savings on food.

6. Set budget on souvenirs – agree on how much you have to spend on souvenirs and stick to it. Help your kids select the right souvenir so that they won’t regret it and ask for more money as a replacement. Let them understand that you are in a tight budget so that everyone can have fun in Disney World.

7. Meals in advanced reservation – if you are considering in bringing the whole family in a restaurant on-site, book in advance. This will help prevent frustrations since you don’t have to wait in line just to eat and you can enjoy discounts because of your reservation on on-site hotels.

8. Take advantage of the transportation system – take note of the time that the free transportation of Disney comes and goes. This will help you save money on transportation from going to various theme parks. Monorails might charge you something but better than outside transportation.

9. Always go for group passes – four individual passes (2 adults and 2 kids) is very expensive compared to group passes for the whole family. To make this easier, book your passes in advance along with your flight, hotel and other reservations. You can also gain more savings if you purchase passes that will give you access to various theme parks.

10. Water is your best friend – aside from snacks, water in Disney World is unbelievably expensive. If you’re a heavy drinker, bring lots of water since the humidity might force you to drink more water than you usually do. Give each family member a water bottle before you visit various theme parks.
