Recession TipsThe Right Mindset to Survive Recession
There are times that dealing with recession is only a matter of thinking. Although you cannot necessarily “think-out” recession, having the right mindset greatly helps on how you can improve your chances in dealing with recession.
Even the brilliant financial analysts will never be able to survive the challenges of recession if they do no have the right frame of thinking. Your attitude towards recession will dictate how you can realize the solution of the different problems related to recession.
It is always best to check if you do have the right attitude and make the necessary changes if your attitude will do more harm than good.
The word “have” defines your relationship with a particular object, feeling or any state. When you say “have”, you are giving out the impression that you actually own something right now.
This is highly applicable in your quest to get things right, at least in your mind. By dealing with what you have right now, you become analytical in the sense that you know what is wrong with the situation. You slowly create a theory or at least a technique on how you can deal with your problems.
By considering what you have, you will know what to use in dealing with recession. There you will also realize how hard it would be to deal with recession but at least, you already have the solution to deal with recession.
The word “had” also denotes a relationship with a particular object or state. “Had” means you no longer posses something. For some reason, the possession of the product ended when you sold them or have a change in attitude.
It will be bad if you let yourself be controlled in the past. By concentrating on what you had, you will feel loss which will greatly affect your self esteem. Your decision making will even be clouded since you no longer have the capability to think of what you really have right now. You force yourself to sulk instead of look for ways to get things straight.
This is a great possibility for those who have lost massive possession. Although it is understandable to feel grief with the loss, it is important to go out and start over again as soon as possible. Sulking will never answer anything.
Do Not Dwell on Small Things
Some of the biggest frustrations anyone would have during recession surprisingly come from the very small things. Apparently, the small things that were missed has snowballed into something bigger that uncontrollable which has resulted to financial losses. The frustration could even increase significantly if the root of everything is just a small inconsistency with the decision.
Instead of dwelling on the small things, dedicate yourself on the bigger things or considering the larger picture. Your aim should be on the things that will provide solution to your problems instead of getting hyped about the small things which might not have any effect in your finances.
Diversion and Gratification
Dealing with depression and procrastination caused by recession is very simple. If you feel really bad about the situation, it is time to get out for a while. Give yourself a day or two to relax.
Instead of sulking at home without doing anything, get some real rest and forget about the past. Dealing with recession requires a clear mind and optimistic approach.
It is important to count what you have instead of what you had. A popular saying goes “you only fight with the army you have.” That means success is all about maximizing what you have instead of feeling great loss with what you supposed to have.
