Recession TipsRecession Proof Jobs
A few months ago, there were a lot of jobs that are thought of to be recession proof. But recent changes on the economic situation suggests otherwise. People from the healthcare industry and other essential services are also losing their jobs.
This increases the difficulty in getting a job for fresh graduates. Without any experience, companies might not hire them. This is understandable since recession will require businesses to select only those who already know about the industry and will strive with little to no training.
If you are a fresh graduate, it is not a good idea anymore to look for a job in recession proof industry. As already indicated, the idea of “recession-proof” jobs are not that feasible any. Instead of focusing on these factors, concentrate on the jobs that you will be hired even though you do not have any experience.
The following are the industries you can consider as they can hire candidates even without any experience:
Computer Industry
Amazingly, the internet is not seeing any significant losses. Although hardware companies such as computer manufacturers are seeing significant losses, online and the software industry is still striving. The reason for this success is very simple – everyone needs to be online but not everyone needs to have a computer. You can be easily hired as a software developer or an IT analyst.
The good thing about it is that even though you do not have any relative education to computers, you can get some training online or in you local area. All you need is dedication so that you can slowly improve on programming and IT development.
Job Industry
One of the major problems of businesses and terminated employees is finding each other. You can grab this opportunity by looking for a job in the industry of helping people find a job. The degree required to this industry is not really specified but anything related to psychology and business management could get you hired in no time.
However, you might want to consider transferring to another city or state. The job matching industry is usually based on larger cities where unemployment is high. Transferring maybe challenging but if you want a stable job, you might want to make some sacrifices.
Teaching Industry
Although there are cities that opted to close some of their schools, the demand for teachers is still high. The ability to deal with children while inspiring them to become someone better is very challenging. If you have a degree in education, you do not just dedicate yourself to being a substitute teacher. You can go full time and become a successful teacher.
If you want to improve even further, improve your specialization in education. A master’s degree especially in special education could help you improve in your career significantly. You can even consider special education as a niche since not everyone is trying to get their hands on this type of industry.
Instead of focusing yourself on recession proof jobs that might not hold at all against this economic crisis, focus on jobs that doesn’t require experience to start in your career early.
